Our SEA LIFE Manchester Meet Up

Fin-tastic Meet Up at SEA LIFE Manchester

In November we hosted our final Meet Up of 2025, and had such a wonderful trip to SEA LIFE Manchester with our child growth community. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fin-tastic trip – roll on 2026 and our next series of Meet Ups!

Thanks to Merlin’s Magic Wand Children’s Charity we’ve been able to offer tickets to eligible families through their Magical Days Out opportunity, allowing the CGF to share this brilliant Meet Up opportunity with our members and the wider child growth community in 2025. They’ve kindly provided tickets for our Meet Ups at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort in May, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Birmingham in August and this trip to SEA Life Manchester.

We’re excited to launch our latest infographic: Top tips – From parents, for parents – Travelling with medication

The infographic, below, is part of our From parents, for parents range where parents and carers share their suggestions based on their own experiences on a range of topics we are approached for support with, such as injections, approaching GPs about growth concerns, dealing with comments about your child’s size, and this newest infographic on travelling with medication.

Thanks very much to the parents and carers in our community for sharing these below suggestions to support others.

You can read or download our infographic as a PDF here or access as an image here. To see our full range of infographics, including the full From parents, for parents range, visit: childgrowthfoundation.org/infographics.

Our summer LEGOLAND® Meet Up

Family fun at our LEGOLAND® Meet Up

This August Laura and Sally from our team joined a fantastic group of children and their families at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre in Birmingham for our latest Meet Up event.

Our Meet Up events first started in early 2024 and we now hold four Meet Ups a year in different locations and venues to bring together the child growth community. The events are designed for children and families to meet new and familiar faces for a fun day out, and we were delighted to have 68 attendees join us for a magical day out.

Thanks to Merlin’s Magic Wand Children’s Charity we’ve been able to offer tickets to eligible families through their Magical Days Out opportunity, allowing the CGF to share this brilliant Meet Up opportunity with our members and the wider child growth community.

The support of our donors, fundraisers and members allows us to make these type of support events and activities possible, and we can’t wait for our next Meet Up already! Read more about our Meet Up events here.

Mental health and emotional wellbeing page launch

Mental health and emotional wellbeing page launch

We have launched a dedicated mental health and emotional wellbeing page for the child growth community.

The new page, created with valued input from a Clinical Psychologist, is designed to support your own mental health and wellbeing, along with the mental health and wellbeing of your child/young person.

The page features information about mental health, tips to look after emotional wellbeing, and signposting to expert organisations and charities providing support, including specialist mental health support for children and young people.

The page also features our infographic ‘Top tips; mental health and wellbeing – from parents, for parents’ which features tips and suggestions shared with us by parents and carers for others in the child growth community.
