Help us to raise awareness to support children, young people, adults and families affected by growth conditions and growth concerns
A key activity of the Child Growth Foundation is to raise awareness and understanding of growth concerns and conditions, to support families in the child growth community, and to improve detection, and support the earlier diagnosis of, undergrowth and overgrowth conditions.
Awareness campaign: Leave no shadow of doubt
To help raise awareness we launched our awareness campaign, made possible thanks to funding from Sandoz, and a range of other support from a number of organisations.
Our much needed campaign aims to reach those who are concerned about their child’s growth to encourage them to leave no shadow of doubt, trust their instincts and get in touch with the Child Growth Foundation. As part of the campaign we have a new dedicated page of our website, at: www.childgrowthfoundation.org/instinct.
We also have a page for our community who’d like to find out more and to help us spread the word, at: www.childgrowthfoundation.org/campaign-instinct. The page includes further details about the campaign plus social media images and posters you can download to print and share with friends, family and colleagues to help raise awareness, to spread this important message to families with a concern about their child’s growth.
Children’s Growth Awareness Week | Children’s Growth Awareness Day
Every year we celebrate Children’s Growth Awareness Week, which takes place in September, and International Children’s Growth Awareness Day, on 20th September. These are such important dates in our charity’s calendar, which are marked internationally, and we have a range of activities and communications taking place each year to mark these special dates.

Throughout 2024 Children’s Growth Awareness Week we have incredible coverage of the campaign nationally, including roadside and mall based digital boards in England and Scotland showing campaign imagery and messaging throughout the week (locations can be found here) and coverage in both The Times and The Sun newspapers too!
The campaign doesn’t stop there though and we will continue to roll this out over the coming weeks and months to spread this important message, and to ensure we can support as many children and families as possible.
Help us spread the word
We have a range of resources here for the campaign including social media images and posters to spread this important message to families with a concern about their child’s growth, which you can share with friends, family and colleagues to help raise awareness!
Children’s Growth Awareness Week takes place in September every year.
During this week, and in the weeks building up to it, international groups, charities and organisations like the Child Growth Foundation raise awareness of children’s growth.
The Child Growth Foundation is here to make a difference wherever growth is a concern, and this important week allows us to showcase how we’re here to support families with a concern, seeking a diagnosis or with a diagnosis.
Children’s Growth Awareness Week is an important chance to help drive the detection, referral and diagnosis of growth conditions, and to reach those who have a concern about their child’s growth to inspire them to get in touch to help wherever we can and to showcase that #GrowthMatters.
2025 Children’s Growth Awareness Week is 14 September – 20 September.
International Child Growth Awareness Day happens on September 20th each year and is a worldwide event, organised by ICOSEP, the International Coalition of Organizations Supporting Endocrine Patients.
This special day aims to raise awareness amongst the public and healthcare professionals about children’s growth conditions and the importance of child measuring and understanding children’s growth.
We’d love your help raising awareness during Children’s Growth Awareness Week (CGAW) and on International Children’s Growth Awareness Day (ICGAD).
To help our community raise awareness during CGAW and on ICGAD we’ve created a public board full of resources: https://trello.com/b/LI62Wozm/cgaw-icgad-2025. On this board you’ll find images, videos, infographics and more that you can download and share during CGAW, 14-20 September, and to mark International Children’s Growth Awareness Day (ICGAD) on 20 September.
The CGF runs takeovers for key days and weeks in the year, including for Children’s Growth Awareness Week and Rare Disease Day. You can catch up on previous takeovers here.
